This outfits are from Saturday. If I were going someplace nice, I would have worn nude-colored wedges. If someplace casual, simple brown flip flops. But we were going to my nephew's outdoor birthday party on the Comal River in New Braunfels. I threw on some old, ugly flip flops before we left that day, since I expected to be shoe-less for most of the afternoon anyway. My bare feet in this photo were clearly a prophetic statement, because my old, ugly flip flops broke before the day was over, and I was truly barefoot after that. I always start out the day with shoes on, but they're usually off before the day is over. And it gets hot enough in the house where I pull of Jax's socks. So here we are, happily bare foot in the summer.
