So colorful. I tried wearing a necklace in turquoise, then one in yellow, but it was too many colors. It was color heading in the direction of clown suit. So I opted for simple white hoop earrings and fingers crossed they won't get yanked out of my ears by inquisitive hands.
This romper was a gift from my sister-in-law. She mailed Jax some clothes, but we had to exchange them since he had outgrown them by the time they arrived (he was six weeks old and they were 0-3 mth size). He has worn this romper soooo many times. I love how soft and stretchy the fabric is. It's easy to get on and off him, (which is a win, because we all know how babies dislike getting dressed and undressed). Diaper changes are super easy. And it's cute.
In fact, the little label on the chest says "fiercely cute." "Fierce" is one of those words lately come into fashion. Like "epic" and "uber." Except I think "fierce" died a quick death, because I haven't heard it in a while. By the time Carters was printing it on their infant apparel, it was already dying.
Or maybe these words have only recently come into fashion in Texas, and already lived and died in California five years ago. That's how it goes with fashion sometimes. And I'm okay with that. Because hearing teenagers describe piddly incidents as "epic" really drives my vocabulary-loving self a bit mad. I'm perfectly satisfied with "cool", thank you very much.
What were the words of your generation?
