When you go to Tita's house for dinner (my grandmother; Tita is short for Abuelita, which is grandmother in Spanish), and she's throwing a party, you'd better look good. In fact, you'd better wear a dress or skirt and heels. To this day, I'm buying her shoes for her birthday. I think I inherited my interest in clothes and shoes from her. She would always promise me I could have her shoes (a closet-full of fancy heels), when I grew up. The day my feet surpassed hers in size, I cried. She wears a five. I wear a nine or 9.5. Such a sad day.
This is the stylish lady I'm referring to.
(Above photo, Tita is in the middle. My mom is on the right; my uncle on the left).
Jax is smiling since Benjamin is taking our photos, instead of the tripod. He loves his Daddy. Tita bought Jax this shirt, which is why we're wearing it to her house. And the fact that he had spilled breast milk and baby spit up on his shirt about six times already that day, and was smelling a bit ripe.
Also, if you don't have nude wedges, you need them. Wedges are just the right amount of casual/fancy that says "summer!!" and "adorable!!" in the same breath. Nude shoes are to summer colored outfits as black shoes are to winter.
Oh, and we wore this to church today too.
