I'm not sure what to call our style today. Eclectic? Weird? Silly? Fun? I settled on Gypsy Funk, as you can see from the title of this post, as that's the closest I could come.
I started with the long turquoise tank, long enough to cover my tush and thus be worn with leggings (I don't believe in wearing leggings without having your tush properly covered). It looked interesting, but plain. And odd. At the same time. I decided to go funky with it, and dug around for a scarf....and real pearls...and a flower in my hair. The scarf is a gift from a Turkish friend. I am concluding it is from Turkey.
Then I dressed Jax in his multi-colored shirt and jeans, but he wasn't funky enough to go with me yet. So I dug around in his dresser until I found this hat, which was gift. He's never worn it before, and likely never will again, as it is already too small to fit properly. And the adorable "Henry" puppy dog shoes/slippers hand-made by Nana Rose. They also barely fit on him, but I'm glad they stayed on long enough to make it into our photo series.
And so....we look sort of cute and sort of odd, but we're not going anywhere today. So the only people who can make fun of how silly we look is my family and anyone who reads my blog. I won't be hurt if you giggle. I'm kind of reminding myself of how I dressed myself twenty some years ago.
