Babies like sparkles. I thought I wouldn't be able to wear any jewelry once Jax started grabbing, but it's actually been helpful to wear necklaces. When he first started learning to grab and pinch, he would claw and pinch my chest and arms and anywhere he could reach while he was nursing. Wearing a necklace has given him something to play with instead, which is such a nice change.
We went to Charming Charlie's on Tuesday, because my mom had a gift card. She had never been there, and neither had my sister Priscilla who went with us. They both decided it was their new favorite store. Which is funny. Because the gift card my mom had, someone had given me. And I gave it away to her, because when I went to the store to spend it, I got so incredibly overwhelmed I walked out without buying anything. They have too many cute things for someone like me that can struggle with making apparel and accessory decisions.
But Jax, well he was in baby sparkle heaven. All the colors! All the textures! All the pretty lights glittering off the pretty things! He just looked around from one side to the other, wide-eyed, open-mouthed, in awe of it all. He couldn't make up his mind on a favorite either.
