I haven't worn my hair in pigtails in several years. With hair this short, they can only make it into these messy funky bun piggy things. I just wanted to do something different with my hair today.
I'm wearing some new clothes, and a couple trends: stripes - chevron stripes specifically, and colored shorts/pants. Colored jeans are what is really "in", but I can't bring myself to wear jeans in three-digit temperatures. Besides, I've never understood the idea that jeans are just so comfortable. Almost all of my nice dress slacks for my professional job are more comfy to me than bulky, heavy, thick jeans. I feel the same about putting jeans on the baby. They're heavy, bulky, hard to get on/off him, and the crotch area is so thick with layers of fabric and snaps that when I hold him on my hip, it's so uncomfortable. Give me lightweight cotton shorts any day. The ones I'm wearing come in a bunch of cute colors at Old Navy. It was hard to resist buying them in every color. And they're long enough to be a bit more modest than normal shorts.
