Today I wanted to wear pajamas all day and this outfit was the closest I could come.
Jax's shirt says "Cool Like My Auntie" and is a gift from Benjamin's sister. Jax has five aunties total, and they are all cool, so this shirt really says it all.
We're in that time of year where it could be 25/45 degrees for a few days, then 55/75 degrees for a few days. We finally got our heater repaired, thanks to the hubby who has never repaired a heater before but somehow managed to diagnose the issue, order the right part, and install it properly. He's a keeper.
Also, the little changes I've been making to Jax's nighttime sleep seem to be helping. Instead of waking every two hours, he started waking at 12 and 4, then coming into bed with us and waking every hour from 5 to 8. Some nights he would wake at 9 or 10pm. I don't let him nurse if he wakes at those hours anymore, and within a couple days, he stopped waking at that time. Then he pushed the time back to 1 and 5, then waking every hour until 8. Progress. I'll take anything we can get. And it was all done peacefully with minimal crying in my arms at the 9/10 wakings when I wouldn't let him nurse. Now if he wakes up at that time, he doesn't fight so much to want to nurse, but realizes he just needs to go back to sleep in my arms. I can even hold him in my arms for a minute, to calm him down, then set him in his crib still awake and pat his back until he goes back to sleep. I'm encouraged, and continuing to make progress, woo hoo!
