Praise

34
Jax has learned to Praise the Lord.  It all starts at the dinner table when he raises his hands high above his head.  Then the rest of the family follows suit, cheering, "Praise the Lord!!!"  Stunned, he looks around at each face.  Did they just mimic me?  What game are we playing?  He throws his hands up in the air, free-range chicken leg held high, and we do the same, loudly exclaiming our praises, "Praise the Lord Jesus! He is worthy of praise!"

And it becomes a meal time ritual that delights Jax (and hopefully Jesus) every time.

Today we were listening to the Psalty music Jax received for Christmas.  One of the songs had the lyrics, Praise the Lord, and every time I would sing the phrase, Jax would lift his hands high into the air, praising.

I truly believe that our spirits comprehend what our minds cannot.  That the praise of infants is as worshipful and beautiful, and meaningful to our God, as that of a fully-aware adult.

Our days are filled with songs of worship and spontaneous praise.  What joy.
