Every so often I need an outfit idea generator. Or I have a piece in my wardrobe that I'm unsure how to style. I hop on Pinterest and search for my item: "pink pants outfit" or "yellow scarf outfit."
Today, Pinterest told me the most popular (and super cute) way to wear a mustard scarf is with stripes, black and white, tan, boots, and skinny jeans. I have tan/brown boots, but they're heeled, and that's not happening today. And these jeans are the closest I own to skinny. They're a bit baggy now since I weigh less than I did when I purchased them a couple years ago. This adorable hungry nursing baby will do such things to a girl.
And this scarf? I've been wanting a chunky knit mustard yellow scarf all winter, and this week I thrifted one for two dollars. The black and white striped shirt is a wardrobe essential I've also wanted for a very long time. I scored this one at H&M when my sister took me and some friends shopping for her birthday.
I'm not a Pinterest obsessor, especially since I don't need another distraction/addiction in my life. But using it on occasion to solve a wardrobe mystery is indeed a blessing.
