We wore this Saturday a week ago. We went downtown hoping to visit the Tower of Americas with a Groupon. When we arrived, we looked up and realized we could only see halfway up the tower from the ground. The fog was so dense we'd never have been able to enjoy the view the tower would offer.
So we walked through a tiny community art museum and played some keyboards and pianos at Alamo Music downtown. We were downtown, and wanted to enjoy it. The coolest piece of art we saw at the museum was a double-bed-sized blanket woven with tiny pieces of Mexican money. It looked interesting, and they had it pinned on the wall nicely. The coolest piano I played was a refurbished Yamaha concert grand. Oh such beauty in music and fine instruments.
It was misty all day. In the first photos, it is clearly raining. Not enough to make me worry about my camera, but enough to moisten the ground and our hair and faces. Perhaps that's what Jax was enjoying so much.... the tickle of rain on his cheeks.
Well, that and the remote. Of course, the remote.
I learned this winter that you can wear a rusty orange with either burgundy/wine or plum, and it looks so great together. I would never have guessed until I saw a style blogger putting those colors together. I don't have the same outfit pieces as she did, but I had the same colors. These wine/plum pants are a soft velvet velour, and we thrifted them in Houston.
Jax's shirt is maroon....it looks like a pinkish raspberry in these photos, and I had a hard time getting the colors to come out right. Imagination required today.
