Ellevill Paisley Tango Review

Ellevill Paisley Tango

Now this wrap.  This is amazing.  Probably one of the most amazing wraps I've owned.  Probably the most beautiful one I've owned.

It wraps so thin I can make it look like it's my blouse.  It is a 50/50 cotton/bamboo blend.  Bamboo in a wrap makes it a bit stretchy, or bouncy, adds a bit of sheen, is usually soft, and can sometimes make it slippery.  As such, it is very desirable for newborns or smaller babies, and sometimes not recommended for toddlers.  This particular wrap however, and from what I've heard, Paisley in any color, can actually be used for toddlers for longer than an hour, and stays supportive, without sagging or losing tension in the passes.  This color is just so amazing that I couldn't even capture it with my camera.  It is a perfect cherry red with the second thread of the jaquard weave being an orange red, more like my blouse in these photos.  I couldn't ask for a prettier hue of red.  I would love to wear this wrap at Christmas, or all the time if I was a red person.  It's funny to me that every time I see red in garments, I just melt a little.  I love it. I also love how it looks on me.  But for some reason there's very little of it in my wardrobe, making it a little difficult to find outfits to wear it with.  If I own Paisley in the future, it will have to be a different color that goes with my wardrobe more, even though this red stole my heart the first time I laid eyes on it.

The brand here is Ellevill, which is a brand I really like.  They are know for having wraps that are thin, and for having extremely long / deep tapered ends on their wraps.  This is one thing I love about it, because it allows you to get a very small and tidy knot at the end of your carry.

Paisley is the name of this print.  This print / weave comes in several different blends, including bamboo/cotton and linen/cotton, and comes in many different rich colors.  Tango is the name of this color, and appropriately so.

I am wearing this in a double hammock carry, with a "lexi twist" finish down the middle.  I like how flattering it is.  I remember when Jax was born, and my milk first came in, that I cried so many times when my breasts were enormous and hurting, swollen with more milk than he could consume. I remember saying to my engorged breasts: "Please, just go back to the way you used to be. I take back everything I've ever said about you!"  (Pre-pregnancy, I am a size 34AA).  Things eventually calmed down and regulated to where I was producing just what Jax needed. Then the first time he slept through the night, the crazy town was back again.  Since then, we have gone up and down in supply and nursing, and I seem to stay a more normal size, maybe 34B or 34A. Now that he is slowing down much more on his nursing, I am not too far from my pre-nursing size.  All that to say, I like the way this variation looks on me :)  I had to fuss with the twist to get it positioned properly.  It wanted to ride up a bit higher on my chest.
