When Jax was a few weeks old, he started wearing clothes, and I started wearing clothes that weren't something REALLY comfortable and pajama-like.  On a whim, I started dressing us in matching / coordinating outfits on a daily basis.  It was hardly an more effort to choose coordinating wardrobe items, than to get dressed without paying attention.

Since I'm a photographer, there are many random days when the camera comes out, and pictures are taken.  I also enjoy fashion, and color and light have a continual effect on me.  I enjoy just looking at the two of us walking around together, and the colors we are wearing having some kind of blend.  I also enjoy when the camera comes out, that I don't worry about one of us wearing neon green and the other wearing burgundy.  (If that color combination ever becomes fashionable, perhaps I will be forced to eat my words, but in the mean time, it is a combination that is always a great illustration to me of truly painful color clashing).

Since Jax surprisingly still allows me to pick out clothes for him, this still continues.  On the rare occasion he has asked to choose his own clothes, I have coordinated mine to his choice.  He does try to choose MY clothes or shoes sometimes too, in the effort to be helpful to me, which is super sweet.

So this one day in the spring, when it was chilly enough to wear a light sweatshirt, my dad noticed Jax wearing a fleece hoodie that closely resembled one my dad owned.  Quite the matching sport, my dad headed to his own closet, retrieved his teal hoodie, and asked me to take some photos.

Jax loves his Grandpapa. My dad is currently between jobs, and spending most of his time working on repairs to the house, and their RV they are fixing up to sell.  Jax would love to shadow Grandpapa's ever move, especially when tools are involved.  Most of the process is too dangerous or tedious for a toddler, but every once in a while, Grandpapa invites Jax to "help" him with a certain project.  Jax's most significant goal is to drive the RV.  We will see.....

Here they are together on matching day, the RV in the sidelines, and the trailer that Jax likes to climb on, full of construction pieces from the RV.
