This dress is vintage, and thrifted. I'm not huge on vintage, but I loved this pattern the moment I saw it a couple years ago. Funny, I was at Pier One today (totally forgot how ridiculous their stuff is priced), and saw these colors all over in the table ware section. There were napkins, dishes, tablecloths, and runners, with these colors in floral arrangements. I guess you could say I'm wearing a tablecloth for a skirt. But it's a dress as a skirt. Now you know my secret.
It was also really cute on me when I was fourteen weeks pregnant, and had a little bump showing through. I sat down at church that day, and my mom said, "You look pregnant today!" And I was proud.
I wore this blue blouse pregnant also. It was one of the few things I could still wear at forty weeks pregnant with a ten pound baby. The drapey, dark-colored fabric, was flattering and slimming. Here Jax and I are at twenty-nine weeks pregnant (ignore the 27 caption). I loved wearing it to work with grey slacks and silver belt. That was actually the last outfit I wore to work, pregnant, on a Friday, the day before he was born. Unfortunately, I won't get to wear it for another pregnancy because it is rayon, and after he was born, my mom kindly did my laundry.
Jax also has secrets. He's wearing pants over a romper.
We attended a parenting workshop at my church today, thus the slightly-dressier-than-usual attire.
HERS | Blouse Old Navy | Tank Old Navy | Skirt/Dress thrifted | Belt Ebay | Shoes Ross | Necklace consignment (the necklace also has secrets - It is a long one that hangs down my torso almost to my waist. I used a safety-pin as a clasp, to make a shorter loop).
