Although Melissa and I are doing a different series this year, I don't want to forget to capture our little life "at home." In reviewing my photos for 2012, I found that often, the only photos I took on my "good" camera in a given month, was for our At Home series. Little ones grow SO FAST, but especially in the first year the changes are shocking from month to month.
Since Jax is crawling, we keep the water level low. He will crawl in the bath, pull up to standing to play with the faucet, pulls the shower knob on top of the faucet up and down, pulls the drain plug up and down, and plays the "uh oh" game throwing toys over the edge of the bath (we don't give them back. you threw it out, it gets put in the basket until tomorrow). He laps the water like a dog, drinks the water out of cups, and splashes. He sucks on washcloths, knaws on toys, runs the truck around the edge of the tub, and...just as of the last week...has discovered his private parts and fiddles with that too (sigh). (no photos of that included here!) (I'm the oldest of five girls, so all this boy stuff is new to me. Thankfully my sisters have sons, so I can get tips from them!)
Enough said... on with the photos.
He tends to curl up the toes on his left foot more so than the right foot. It means his left shoe is usually difficult to get on, then often falls off again from the curling/uncurling motion.
For some reason the obsession with the faucet and touching it with toys in-hand.
Mom. It's bath time. What are you doing with the camera?
Oh this smiling face, how it melts me. And you can see both teeth!
I absolutely adore the way his little toes look poking out from underneath his tush as he kneels. Again, the left toes are curled up with the right toes open.
Then Benjamin turned on the shower. And showed Jax how to do so. This should make bath time very interesting going forward.
